What is the National Working Plan Code 2023?
The National Working Plan Code (NWPC) 2023 is the framework that guides the scientific management of India’s forests. It was released by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on 17 June 2023, replacing the earlier 2004 Code (amended in 2014). Working plans are the main instrument through which each forest division is scientifically managed.
